Gardai have reported a 25% increase in domestic violence-related calls during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to figures, officers made over 8,000 ‘contacts’ or ‘attempted contacts’ with abuse victims since April 1.
Over 100 men were prosecuted over the last 14 days.
