Gardai rushed to the scene following a shooting incident in Co. Clare on Wednesday morning.
It is understood that a member of the public discharged a number of shots in the Illaunmanagh area of Shannon Town at around 11am today.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Shannon Garda Station on 061-365900, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda Station.
