A man has been left in a critical condition following an aggravated burglary in an Irish county.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Saturday, when a man forced his way into a property in the McCurtain Villas area of Cork. Once inside, he assaulted a young man in his 20s and a woman in her 60s.
The man in his 20s was taken to hospital in a critical condition. The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
