
An Garda Síochána have arrested nine individuals following a targeted day of operations in Dublin.
The coordinated initiative, conducted under Operation Saul, took place in the Dublin 7 area on Thursday, reports Breaking News.
It included focused patrols and engagement on public transport, carried out in partnership with Transdev, Dublin Bus, and the National Transport Authority’s Taxi Regulation division.
The arrests were linked to a variety of suspected drug and theft-related offences, with all nine individuals being males aged between 16 and 50, reports Breaking News.
Five of those arrested have since been charged and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Two others have been released and referred to the Youth Diversion Programme, reports Breaking News.
A further two men are expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday.
