Gardai are searching for a driver following a hit-and-run incident in the capital.
The collision happened on the Cheeverstwon Road at the junction with Fortunestown Way in Dublin early this morning. It is understood that a black Volkswagen Passat was involved in an accident with a female cyclist. The vehicle did not remain at the scene.
The cyclist was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital, where her injuries are described as ‘serious’ but not life-threatening.
