Gardai are today searching for two men following an armed robbery in the south of the country.
The incident unfolded inside a shop in Ballinhassig in Co. Cork on Thursday afternoon. Two men, one of them wielding a shotgun, the other a machete, approached the post office part of the shop and demanded money.
The men fled by car, believed to be a Citroen C3, driven by a suspected accomplice. The car was found burnt out a short time later.
