Gardai shutdown a number of Shebeen pubs where people were “having a good laugh, playing pool and being served pints for €3”

Gardai have said that they closed a number of Shebeen pubs where people were drinking, playing pool and watching TV all while being served pints for around €3.

It’s the stuff of dreams for many of us, locked away in a makeshift pub with a few sounds pals having a few drinks on the cheap while playing pool and watching TV as the world of covid goes on outside.

Well, gardai put a stop to that fun in three pubs in Meath, Westmeath and Laois over the past number of days.

However, it’s understood that there’s plenty of more Shebeens entertaining punters around the country.
