Gardai have announced the creation of a new dedicated unit to combat cyberbullying.
The unit, led by the Garda National Protective Services Bureau, will fight against so-called ‘trolls’, or people who spend a great deal of their time online bullying others.
New legislation will soon be in place to strengthen Garda powers against trolls and other online bullies.
