A gas leak prompted the closure of a road in Drogheda, Co. Louth, earlier today.

The Beamore Road was sealed off between the Platin Road junction and Meadow View junction yesterday evening. It is understood that the leak began after a third party damaged a pipe.
Crews are still working at the site today.
