The Labour Party leader Brendan Howlin has revealed that his party are planning to build 80,000 affordable and social houses if they are elected into Government.
According to RTÉ News, Mr Howlin made his comments whilst speaking at the glass bottle site in Poolbeg West, where plans to build affordable social housing have failed.
Howlin said one of the biggest problems the country faces is homelessness and the provision of affordable housing.
The labour leader who vowed to build homes on land that the public already owns, also stated that the site represented a failure to fix a real problem.
