A number of protesters gathered outside the US Embassy in Dublin on Sunday, to demonstrate against the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last Monday.
Mr. Floyd died after a former police officer, named as 44-year-old Derek Chauvin, kept him pinned down to the ground with a knee on his neck for almost 9 minutes. The officer involved has been dismissed from the force and is facing third-degree murder charges.
The death of yet another unarmed black man at the hands of police has sparked riots and violent disturbances across most of the United States and elsewhere.
