German MP passes away at Limerick Hospital after flight is forced to make an emergency landing




 

A German woman aged in her 50s has sadly passed away in a Limerick Hospital after the flight she was travelling on was forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, on Sunday.

According to RTE News, the woman Karin Strenz, a member of the German federal parliament was taken to hospital after her flight landed at the airport yesterday morning.

It is understood that the flight which was travelling from Varadero in Cuba to Frankfurt, Germany was diverted to land in Shannon Airport after a passenger fell ill.

RTE News reports that Strenz, was taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac incident.
