Get the bread in! Temperatures set to plummet in coming days as fears of a Beast from the East part deux

Met Éireann expects temperatures to drop further over the next few days as colder nights return.

The news comes as experts update the public on the possible return of the Beast from the East, who ravaged the nation in 2018, reports The Mirror.

Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly ruled out another beast from the east, saying there is “no sign of any repeat” despite predictions of a colder March, reports The Mirror.

He shared with thousands of his followers the weather patterns of the “real Beast from the East” that hit Ireland five years ago, reminding them not to panic.

He posted: “Don’t panic though this chart is from this day 5 years ago when the real Beast was on the weather charts. No sign of any repeat of 2018 at present but still a risk of colder March spell,” reports The Mirror.

Allen said the weather looks stable till the end of the first week of March.

Early indications are that the low pressure will continue with above average temperatures for the time of year. Precipitation is expected to be near average, with the west side of the country probably a little drier and the east side a little wetter.

Although we can expect a slight drop in temperatures in early March, they assure everyone that rainfall will be below average, so there is little chance of rain or snow across Ireland during the month of March.

Looking at the coming week, the temperature will drop to zero or -1 degree Celsius at night. The morning may be frosty, but there are no signs of major weather threats ahead.
