RTE aired a very touching documentary about the legendary footballer Johnny Giles.
The documentary simply named “Giles” received great praise online after it depicted the footballer’s life from childhood to his present day life living in Birmingham.
It showed how Johnny grew up playing football on the streets of Dublin, honing his skills and eventually getting a break at 14 where he was scouted to play for Manchester United.
A glorious career saw Giles produce over 140 professional goals, multiple national caps and even the best ever play for the Republic of Ireland by UEFA itself.
