A 10-year-old girl in Argentina has discovered that she is eight months pregnant after she was allegedly raped by her brother.
According to The Daily Mail newspaper, the young girl from Posadas, found out she was pregnant after she complained of pains in her abdomen and her back.
It is reported in local media that the girl was allegedly raped by her 15-year-old brother who has since been placed under the care of an aunt.
According to reports the girl who doesn’t fully understand what’s going on, claims that her brother a 15-year-old boy only raped her once.
The boy who cannot be named for legal has since been removed from the family home and placed in the care of his aunt.
It is understood the boy cannot be charged as he is still a minor.
Meanwhile police investigating the incident say the girl’s baby will be taken into the care of her grandmother once it is born as the county’s Justice Department want the girl to continue with her education following the birth.
Reports also state that the children’s mother was unaware what had occurred and was shocked to discover that her daughter was pregnant.
