A teenager in the UK who was named after the store Ikea was bullied so much at school that she changed her name.
According to the Irish Mirror, 19-year-old Jasmine Dagless was named Ikea by her mum who saw an ad for the Swedish company on the television when she was pregnant.
But bullies hassled Jasmine through childhood, calling her “flat pack” and she decided to switch her name from Ikea Jasmine to Jasmine Ikea when she was 12. While her family still calls her Ikea, her legal name is Jasmine.
The Ikea store have treated Jasmine and her family well though, giving her furniture and toys for free.
