“Give it to student nurses instead” – Uproar online as government gives significant pay rise to Junior Ministers and Judges




There has been uproar online after it emerged that the Government has approved a motion to give Junior Ministers and Judges a significant pay increase.

Many social media users are saying that the monies should be going to student nurses who are working long shifts on little pay.

It is understood that opposition Junior Ministers will be given an increased allowances.

Meanwhile pensions have been restored for judges. The judiciary will also receive a pay rise that is in line with other public pay sectors.

The move has faced strong criticism after the Government refused to provide student nurses with full pay rates.
