The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that there were no short cuts were taken in developing the Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking about the issue of disinformation surrounding Covid-19 vaccine’s, Glynn said that the reason why vaccine’s were developed so quickly was down to the fact that major resources were put in place during its development.
Glynn who said that the vaccine’s development was an enormous achievement also stated that scientific, or ethical integrity had not been compromised during the vaccine’s development.
The Deputy Chief Medical Officer’s comments come as Ireland is currently preparing to roll-out Pfizer and BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine from next subject to the European Medicines Agency approval.
