There’s now serious pressure on the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar to review his poistion after what some people are claiming ‘flaunting his own guidelines’ by attending a prearranged party at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin for Katherine Zappone’s massively-taxpayer paid new job. A job which she had to decline due to the controversary concerning her appointment and the huge party Leo Varadkar attended.
On Friday evening’s RTE Six One News, the Tanaiste had an absolute car crash interview and was forced to apologise a number of times over this attendance at Katherine Zappone’s hotel party that happened in the Merrion Hotel where 50 people attended.
The vast majority of people are saying that Varadkar broke his own government’s guidelines by attending the hotel’s party.
He said that the regulations were not clear and that they were ambiguous – even though he made up the regulations himself along with Micheal Martin and the government.
There is more and more pressure on Leo Varadkar over his attendance at the party, it’s obvious that some PR agent declared that Varadkar should try and spin his way out of it, but by the looks of the interview – the only thing he did was spiral out of control into much further trouble.
