There was some welcome news this afternoon as the Government have approved new legislation that will officially suspend water charges for 9 months.
According to reports the new legislation is now set to go before the Dáil next week and it will then be presented before the Seanad. The charges will be suspended until an independent commission reviews them.
However the suspension will only last 9 months as Fine Gael are adamant that the much hated charges will return.
