Good news as hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnb can reopen from early next month followed by pubs and hospitality

It’s one of the last industries to be allowed reopen, but finally it’s looking good that Ireland is beginning to see normality return.

Taoiseach appointee Micheal Martin announced today’s reopening with further announcements that hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnb premises will reopen in June.

Inter-county travel finally begins from today and thus hospitality needs to reopen.

The coronavirus remains a threat however, as the number of daily infections remains in the hundreds.

It’s more than likely that the government will wait to see how today’s reopening will go and that they could still make changes, but with the weather getting better and increased pressure from both the public and sector itself, they’ll have to be allowed reopen from June 2nd with pubs and restaurants following on from June 7th.
