There was good news for Medical Card holders today as the Minister for Health Simon Harris officially signed new legislation that will see prescription charges reduced from next month.
The new changes will now see those who have Medical Cards paying €2 per drugs item instead of the initial €2.50.
Speaking about the new changes Mr Harris said he hoped today’s changes will be the first of many that will see prescription charges reduced over the coming years ahead.
