There was some good news on the jobs front as Screwfix confirmed that it is to create 400 new positions across Ireland.
It is understood the company plans to open 40 new stores as they look to expand its Irish base.
Screwfix say the jobs will include service assistants, supervisors and retail management staff.
The company currently has three stores in Ireland, with a fourth expected to open in Ennis Co Clare next year.
