Good news to report today as The Vatican is insisting Pope Francis is only suffering from a cold, not coronavirus.
Pope Francis was coughing and sneezing from last week and was forced to skip several official audiences and on Sunday. He then announced that he would stay home from a week-long spiritual retreat outside Rome to recover.
Il Messaggero thankfully has reported that Pope Francis had tested negative for the coronavirus and has nothing more than a common cold.
It’s significant because Italy is in the midst of a coronavirus emergency, with more than 2,500 positive cases.
