As The Liberal reported yesterday, some 270 schoolgirls were kidnapped in April 2014 by the evil Islamic militant group, Boko Haram.
Fianlly on Saturday it was confirmed by the Nigerian President that a deal was struck for 82 of the schoolgirls to be released in exchange for prisoners.
The girls have now arrived at Abuja airport and were driven away in a military convoy to safety.
Nigerian authorities are said to be working hard on releasing the further 188 schoolgirls.
