Government advises all Irish citizens currently present in China to leave the country as soon as possible as the coronavirus crisis intensifies

The Irish Department for Foreign Affairs has issued a directive advising all Irish citizens to leave China as soon as possible, amidst a worsening outbreak of the coronavirus.

Those attempting to fly out of China will face significant difficulties, however, as many airlines have temporarily halted flights in and out of the country.

No fewer than 427 people have so far died from the disease, with over 20,000 infections confirmed worldwide.
