Government asks public to be “on their best behaviour” this Easter weekend in an effort to keep covid numbers low




The government and health authorities have asked the public to be on their best behaviour this Easter weekend in an effort to keep covid numbers low.

The public have been urged to socialise safely this Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

The plea comes as another 4,000 new Covid-19 cases were reported over the past 24 hours.

In a statement the Department of Health urged people to continue practicing social distancing, hand hygiene and to wear face masks were appropriate.

According to latest figures there are currently 904 people in hospital with Covid-19, whilst there are 57 people in ICU across the country with the virus.
