The Government has confirmed that Cabinet ministers will take a 10% pay cut.
Newly-appointed Taoiseach Micheal Martin made the announcement a short time ago. The pay cut will apply to himself and all Government and Ministers of State.
The move comes days after three ‘super-junior ministers’ were granted a massive 16k pay rise.
