Government officials are in alert after an emergency memo was issued in Leinster House following confirmation of a suspected measles case.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the urgent memo was issued after a member of staff was diagnosed with the illness.
The Irish Mirror say the alert will remain in place until August 24th, and staff working in the building have been urged to take extra precautions.
It is understood the alert was issued on Thursday afternoon and will remain in place for at least the next fortnight.
The confirmation of the case comes after 11 cases were confirmed in the Dublin region in recent weeks.
