Government issues guidelines on the use of face masks in Ireland




The Government has issued guidelines on the use of face masks in Ireland.

According to the Irish Mirror, face masks should be worn ‘in situations where social distancing is not possible and when around those aged over 70.’ This includes public transport and shops.

The guidelines further specify that face masks should be worn by people who:

Are younger than 13
Suffer from breathing difficulties
Are unconscious or incapacitated, or are unable to remove it unaided
Have a disability
Might feel upset or uncomfortable wearing it
