
The Government has pledged €30m in funding for a drug addiction treatment facility in Dublin city centre.
In an announcement Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy, said the 100 bed facility will help the inner-city’s homeless.
The facility which was approved by An Bord Pleanála, will be located on Usher’s Island and is expected to be completed by 2021.
Mr Murphy added the facility will work to help the Simon Community on their efforts to help those sleeping rough and have addiction problems.
