Government say lockdown restrictions may be needed once again as early as January 6th

The Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar and the Green Party’s Eamon Ryan say that there is a real possibility that Ireland may face further lockdown restrictions in the near future if the numbers of cases rise significantly once again.

The prediction of more lockdown restrictions could be enforced as early as January 6th, giving the bare minimum window of people getting to enjoy Christmas with family and friends, at least to degree.

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar said this week that it’s likely Ireland will see more lockdown restrictions imposed in January or February but for now people are allowed to enjoy the festive season and have a very enjoyable Christmas at least.
