The Government have confirmed that an extra €1.1m in funding will be allocated to mental health services during Covid-19 outbreak.
It is understood that the allocation in funding comes as the Government and health experts have become concerned about the effects of outbreak is having on people’s mental health.
The funding which will be issued to support services is expected to be used on telephone and online services.
It is understood that the number of people accessing mental health services has seen an increase since the Covid-19 outbreak began.
