The Government will reportedly introduce new laws that will see those who destroy valuable lifesaving equipment being hit with a five year prison sentence and a €50,000 fine.
The new legislation which is currently being drafted by Dr Keith Swanick, Fianna Fáil’s health spokesperson would see those caught damaging or stealing the life saving equipment such as defibrillators and lifebuoys, receiving a severe penalty.
