Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed in the past few hours that missing Dublin man David Dempsey has been found safe and well.
Mr Dempsey who has down syndrome went missing from his home in the Dublin 8 area at approximately 2pm on yesterday afternoon and was the subject of a garda appeal on social media websites for the past two days. Gardai say that David was located earlier today and is understood to be doing well.
Gardai also say they would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Mr Dempsey, and that the case is now officially closed.
