Sinn Fein is due to table a motion in favour of an extension of the eviction ban this week.
According to RTE, the vote is due to take place this Wednesday and Green Party TD Neasa Hourigan has said that she will vote against the government and in favour of an extension of the ban.
It is reported that she could face disciplinary action from the Green Party if she does, in fact, go ahead and vote against the government.
She previously lost the Green Party whip for six months last year after she voted against the government on the location of the new National Maternity Hospital
