Ryanair have been fined €3m by the Italian competition authority over its new cabin baggage handling rules.
The low cost airline was handed the fine after they were in breach of the rules.
In a statement the AGCM said that baggage handling was an essential part of Air travel and the transfer of baggage should be transported with no additional extra cost.
The ruling comes after Ryanair faced criticism last November when they introduced charges for customers carrying bags that weighed 10kgs or more.
