Growing concerns as 23 year old Cork City councillor has reportedly gone missing




There has been growing concerns over the past few days after a Sinn Fein politician has reportedly gone missing from Co Cork.

The young man named Stephen Cunningham, who is one of the youngest local politicians in the country has been missing for almost two weeks. GardaĆ­ in Cork say they will formally issue a missing person’s appeal later this morning after Mr Cunningham’s family formally reported him as missing recently.

It is also understood that a number of close friends and volunteers are also expected to meet at Sinn Fein’s offices on Barracks Street at 10am to carry out a number of searches for the 23-year-old Cork city councillor.

Mr Cunningham, was reportedly last seen in the South Mall area of Cork city centre at approximately 1pm on March 18. GardaĆ­ have also said they are currently in the process of examining CCTV footage of the area were Mr Cunningham was last seen.
