The Government is today having a ‘ha ha, fooled ye’ all’ moment today, as prices at the pumps remain largely the same as yesterday, despite a purported ‘cut’ in excise duty overnight.
The price of a litre of unleaded remains just a whisker off €2 (€1.99) this morning.
It’s unclear what excise duty has been cut, and by how much, as nothing has changed.
