Hackers acting under the collective name ‘Mr. Smith’ have released further Game of Thrones material online, and are now demanding payment to stop the leaks.
It is understood that ‘Mr. Smith’ sent an email to HBO’s CEO, Richard Plepler, containing a video which allegedly demands millions in bitcoin payments to avoid further data releases.
The hackers managed to get their hands on 1.5 Tb. of data from HBO’s network, and have already released a full episode of Game of Thrones.
