The Minister for Health Simon Harris has said that he wants to get cancer screening programmes back up and running as soon as possible.
Speaking in the Dáil, the Health Minister said that he wants to get all screening programmes up and running once there is a safe way to do so.
Harris who was responding to questioning from Labour leader Alan Kelly, said the HSE is currently working on a strategy to reintroduce non-covid-19 services.
However he added that the reintroduction of such vital services will occur once a strategy has been implemented that will protect both staff and patients.
