Speaking on RTE News, the caretaker Minister for Health Simon Harris said that the government are heavily monitoring the situation day by day and said that “we need to intensify lockdown or extend past March 29th”.
Harris said that there’s no need to bulk buy and that the retailers say there’s plenty of food supply.
The caretaker Minister said that “We are moving into a new phase, a delay phase.”
“We’re the fact the virus has embedded itself in our country and we’re seeing more cases every day, we’ll take the measures the health experts will tell us to take”.
Harris went onto say that:
“The truth is we don’t know if they need to be intensified it extended past the 29th of march. People need to work with us for two weeks. Hand hygiene and coughing and sneezing etiquette.
