Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly want the royal family to ‘apologise’ to them ahead of King Charles’ coronation.
A well-placed source told the Times the Sussexes want the company to take responsibility for the couple’s “hurt and damages”.
Harry is hoping to sit down with senior royals ahead of his father’s coronation next May,” the insider added.
Harry and Meghan want the face-to-face meeting to discuss the series of loud claims they’ve made in their Netflix docu-series Harry and Meghan.
The source said the couple was cremated after Lady Susan Hussey presented Ngozi Fulani with an olive branch after pressing the head of the charity which country she was from.
Buckingham Palace on Friday said Hussey had personally apologized to the Fulani and promised to “deepen her awareness of the sensitivities involved,” reports Metro.
Harry and Meghan were wondering where this peace offering was for them, the source said.
The source also hinted that they were upset at the royal establishment’s lack of response to their Netflix series.
Both Buckingham and Kensington Palace declined to comment following the release of both halves of Harry and Meghan.
The source said: “Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns – no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability. That is hard to swallow — 100% yes they’d like to have a meeting,” reports Metro.
Reports Metro, In Harry and Meghan, Harry said he needs “to make peace with the fact we’re probably never going to get genuine accountability or a genuine apology” from his family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have long been open about the racism Meghan has faced, particularly from the tabloids, and their Netflix docu-series has been no exception.
