Author J.K. Rowling has just announced a “real treat” for Harry Potter fans.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will tell the “untold part” of the Potter’s background, including the lives and deeds of his murdered parents.
This expansion story will not be in book form, however. Rather, it will be brought to life in the form of a theatre play, set to open at some point in 2016.
Rowling made the announcement today to coincide with the 18th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the UK.
