“He should keep his nose out of it” – Backlash to Higgins accusing Elon Musk of incredibly dangerous narcissism for his attempt to buy Twitter

By the looks of things from some social media users, it’s lucky that Higgins can’t run for Office for a third time because he’d be firmly out on his ear.

Certain people are saying that he should keep his mouth shut and his nose out of Elon Musk’s business, that he’s overstepping the mark of the Aras and should mind his own affairs.

President Michael D. Higgins accused Elon Musk of “incredibly dangerous narcissism” for his attempt to buy Twitter.

The president took on the world’s richest man in a high-profile speech at a climate conference.

According to the Independent, Higgins went off script and talked about the media’s role in solving climate change issues, and while he didn’t refer to Musk by name, he explained how “someone announces they are able to buy Twitter”.

“A multi-billionaire would be now deciding what it’s appropriate for people to exchange in public discourse,” he said.

“I think it can hardly be described as anything other than a manifestation of an incredibly dangerous narcissism.”

Some social media users say that Higgins himself is incredibly narcissistic with one joking that “if Higgins was a bar of chocolate, he’d eat himself.”
