A 1-month-old baby has sadly died after his grandfather gave him alcohol as part of a dare.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the newborn sadly lost his life after his parental grandparent gave him a sip of his drink during a traditional celebration ceremony.
The news outlet states that the infant died after developed breathing difficulties within minutes of ingesting the drink.
It is reported that the grandfather gave the baby boy a sip of the drink when a crowd at the party in Beijing dared him to do so.
Although he was initially reluctant to give his grandson a sip of his drink he eventually caved to onlookers who taunted him by stating that he himself couldn’t have a drink until the baby had some first.
It is believed the baby boy was brought to a nearby hospital by his mother where he sadly was pronounced dead a short time later.
It is thought that the baby boy died as a result of alcohol poisoning.
