In a truly heartbreaking story a 21 month old toddler was killed after he was crushed by a man who landed on top of him during a suicide attempt.
The heartbreaking death which occurred in Zaporizhia, Ukraine, seen the young child sadly lose his life after the 39 year old man decided to end his own life by jumping from the fourth floor of the apartment complex in which they lived.
According to Ukrainian state media the toddler who managed to make his way to the entrance of the building was killed when the man fell on top of him after he decided to jump from the balcony of their apartment.
It is understood the young boy was with his father when his mother was saying goodbye to neighbour before the incident happened.
In a statement local police say they are treating the boy’s death as an unfortunate accident whilst they are treating the man’s death as suicide.
Although it is not known why the man decided to end his life police say the young toddler sadly received fatal injuries during the incident.
They added the young boy sadly passed away whilst paramedics were treating his injuries when they were traveling to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
