Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that a 3-week-old baby boy has died following a stabbing incident at house in Wallsend, North Tyneside last week.
According to Sky News, the baby boy who was in critical condition sadly died due to the extent of his injuries on Monday.
It is understood that his mother a 21-year-old woman who was also stabbed is currently in stable condition in hospital.
Police investigating the incident say a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
He is currently being remanded in custody and is expected to appear before North Tyneside Magistrates Court on October 31st.
