Gardai in Limerick have sadly confirmed that a man has been found dead in the city.
It is understood the man aged in his 60s was found dead in a laneway off Little Catherine Street, on Friday night.
Gardai say they are currently awaiting results of a post mortem examination but say they do not believe that the cause of the man’s death is suspicious.
The man was believed to be sleeping rough in the centre of the city and was known to homeless services in the city.
