Authorities in the UK have sadly confirmed that an 8-year old boy has died with Covid-19.
According to Sky News, the young boy who had an underlying condition sadly passed away in hospital.
The heartbreaking news comes as the country recorded 53,285 new cases on New Year’s day.
Figures also show that there were a further 613 deaths over the past 24 hours.
